22nd Children's Painting Competition
“Water: the source of all life. Where does it come from?” That was the subject of this year's Children's Painting Competition, which encouraged some 700,000 children between the ages of 6 and 14 give their imagination free reign on the topic of water resources. 13-year-old Chiratchaya Kaeokamkong of Thailand won the competition with her portrayal of a happy child in a sea of blues in harmony with nature. However, plenty of creativity and talent also went into the other winning paintings on the topic in the annual competition organized by the United Nations Environment Programme and Bayer.
